I've noticed something over the years, I am by far more creative at night. Why is that? Is it because things are less hectic and I can focus? More quiet? Or something else? Are we generally more creative at night? Or is it that most artists more creative at night? I don't know. Maybe it's because sitting at your drawing table when the Sun is out and it's a beautiful day, kinda sucks, and you just want to enjoy the day. What's weird is that my day feels incomplete when I don't draw so you'd think I'd enjoy sitting there. Not during the day. Sometimes, it's not a prob. Then you hit some artistic wall or block and everything you draw is crap. At night, I am by far more successful with what I draw. During daylight, I find that I have to exert more discipline to keep my ass in the chair and draw. Graphic design is a different story, that's a day job. Painting, np, during the day. But drawing that's a whole other beast. Creating something on a blank sheet of paper straight from your head can be exhausting. Making it believable and aesthetically pleasing more so. One thing is for sure, the more you draw the easier it becomes. So it's 2AM and it's time to put the pencil to paper.
