Man, it's been so long since I was in school and it feels great to be back. I just spent about five hours studying and I feel fantastic. No, I'm not sick. I just happen to love acquiring knowledge.
This week I start student teaching and I've been thinking up ways to incorporate Bloom's educational objectives into my curriculum. One of the things my students will be doing is interpreting past historical conflicts by creating a piece of art. Specifically, we'll be studying Native American history like the Modoc Peace Meeting and the Trail of Tears. It will interesting to see how the students interpret these events. After their presentation I'll be showing my drawing of the event and ask them what they think I'm saying or not saying. In addition to that I'll also be illustrating past historical figures which I'll be posting here.
While I was at the University this week I stopped by the art building and talked to some professors who said that they wouldn't mind me using the studio classroom for some oil paintings! For the longest time I had no where to set up an easel and now I do. I'm super excited.
Where there's a will there's a way.
wanna see what you and the gang came up when you´re done!
Where are you going to grad school?
hey, for the project a good preparation is to watch through the 500 Nations documentaries. maybe 1 episode right before the drawing sessions - dunno how long the classes go by yours.
