I've been inking with a brush for quite awhile now. It's tough but, man is it worth it. Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I drawing well after midnight and knocked the brush, bristle down onto the floor. It happened in slow mo and I was devastated. I picked it up and right near the ferrel I could see bent bristles. gasp ... I bought other brushes, even a sable hair brush but they just were not as good. It took almost two weeks to get a replacement. Over those weeks I watched the BBC documentary on Daniel Clowes and Robert Crumb and Clowes starts talking about how he found this perfect brush which isn't even an inking brush; it's a watercolor brush! That brush which is a Cottman is the same brush I use. It's kismet. Today, I uploaded Huey, the I.T. Guy, who is inked with this brush. After I scanned it and started coloring it, I noticed how crisp the lines were. If you want to challenge yourself with the brush, get it this brush, the Cottman, you won't be sorry.
